反对日本成为安理会常任理事国全球华人大签名

We,theundersigned,stronglyurgeyoutospeakoutandvoteagainstanymotionorproceduretograntJapanthestatusasapermanentmemberoftheUnitedNationsSecurityCouncil.AstheaggressorinWorldWarII,Japancommittednumerousatrocitiesinitsneighboringcountries,anddestroyedandlootedanastronomicamountofproperties.Recentdiscoverieshaverevealeditssystematicsughteringofprisonersofwarandtensofmillionsofinnocentcivilians,fromnewborntoelderly,duringthoseyears.Itsgovernmentandparliamenthaveneverformallyacknowledgeditswrongdoing,offeredofficiapologiestothosewhosufferedimmensely,orprovidedadequatereparationtocompensateitsvictims,includingthehundredsofthousandswomenforcedinto*ualsvery,nearlyamilliondiedinitsbiochemicalexperimentationsandbattlefielddeploymentsinviotionoftheGenevaConvention,ortheAlliedprisonersofwarbutchered,brutalizedandensved.Japanthusfarshowsnoremorseofitspastmisdeeds,refusestorepent,andappearstobeuntrustworthy.TheinternationalcommunitycannotandmustnotdesignatesuchstatetoseatontheSecurityCouncilwhichischarteredtosafeguardandmaintainregionandworldpeaceandjustice.

我們下列簽署人極力主張閣下明確發言並投票反對日本成為聯合國安全理事會常任理事國之任何議案或程序。做為一個二戰侵略國，日本在其鄰國犯下了無數之暴行，毀壞和掠奪了天文數字的財產，新近出土的證據指出日本在戰爭期間曾有系統的奢殺戰俘及千百萬老少嬰兒等無辜平民，日本政府及其國會從未正式承認其所犯罪行，從未對那些歷經苦難的受害人，給予官方正式道歉，或給予充份賠償；受害人包括數十萬名被日軍充為*隸的婦女，在違反日內瓦公約下，更有百萬軍民死於生化武器之實驗及使用，並且殘殺虐待和奴役盟國戰俘。日本至今從未對其戰時罪行表示自責，也拒絕悔改，看起來好像無可信任。國際社會不可以也不應當以保障和維護全世界及地域性和平及正義之安全理事會席位授與日本這種國家。(請以英文簽署大名並於3月31日前寄回)
